Foundation Hosts Wine Tasting Event

Tickets and table sponsorships are going fast for Southeast Fountain Community Foundation’s 11th annual Wine & Appetizer Event at the Beef House Banquet Center on Sunday, February 25 from 1:30-4:00 pm (EST).  The public is invited.  This fundraising event is a one-of-a-kind since there is no program. This is a social event only (business casual)!

Attendees will enjoy complimentary portions of international award winning wines from Chateau Thomas Winery of Plainfield as well as an extensive selection of hors d'oeuvre from the Beef House Restaurant.  A silent auction with nearly 100 unique items will also compliment the event.

This year's event will highlighted by the Foundation awarding a grant check in the amount of $7,000 to the National Honor Flight Network (Greater Lafayette Chapter) to transport 6-10 Fountain County Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their sacrifices.

CALL 793-0702 TODAY to order your tickets!  Individual tickets are $35 and table sponsorships (table of 8) are $250.

4-H Fairgrounds Partners with Community Foundation

Western Indiana Community Foundation is pleased to announce its partnership with the Fountain County 4-H Council.

According to Dale White, CEO of the Foundation says, “The 4-H Council has established a pass-thru fund with the Community Foundation for the purpose of making improvements to the community building at the Fountain County 4-H Fairgrounds.  Members of the Council have recently begun to raise funds to upgrade the restrooms, refresh parts of the concession – kitchen area and make other updates to the building.  On the exterior they hope to improve the drainage and expand the parking area.  The Foundation will be processing all donations for this project.”
